Can You Get Acne From Junk Food?

There has been an ongoing debate about whether or not acne can be caused by (or worsened) by consuming junk food. Some people believe that healthy bodies are able to combat acne.Eating a well balanced diet is part of becoming healthy. When people choose to do so, they will be healthy inside and out.).

Other people do not agree. These people believe that acne is caused by genetics instead of the food being eaten. Other people believe you can be acne free in 3 days. If your family has a history of acne, you are likely to get it at some point in your life too. This group also believes that stress can play a big role in whether or not people develop acne.

The more stress someone is under, the more likely they will develop this skin condition. Becoming stressed out can lead to acne problems.


There is little clinical evidence that eating junk food causes acne. However, there is not lot of evidence to the contrary either. Therefore, the belief that junk food causes acne is considered a myth by some and a truth by others. It never wears off in the debate arena.

Having a great complexion is the result of eating well and not many people will argue that.The health of your body lays in a delicate balance, so too much junk food is not a good idea. It is best if you stick to a well balanced diet of fruit, proteins, and plenty of water.

When individuals consume foods that are unhealthy on a regular basis, this can cause the body to get out of balance. This leads to acne in some people but for others it does not. Currently, there is no real answer either way. So it would be in your best interest to have lots of water and combine that with a healthy diet.

This lets people develop a great looking complexion without the added need for medicine. If acne remains then junk food being the case, can easily be ruled out.
